IA, MND-B Soldiers confiscate weapons in Baghdad
Multi-National Division – Baghdad PAO

BAGHDAD – Multi-National Division – Baghdad Soldiers seized weapons and munitions in Baghdad Dec. 1. 

At approximately 12:30 p.m., Soldiers serving with 5th Battalion, 25th Field Artillery Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division, seized five AK-47 rifles, a shotgun, 300 rounds of shotgun ammunition, 15 magazines of AK-47 ammunition, 150 looses rounds of AK-47 ammunition and a pellet rifle scope.

At 5 p.m., IA soldiers serving with 2nd Battalion, 42nd Brigade, 11th Iraq Army Division, discovered a weapons cache inside a mosque in Sadr City.  The cache included nine projectiles, two 130 mm projectiles, a 100 mm projectile, a 122 mm illumination projectile, a 152 mm projectile and 15 bomb fuses.  Soldiers with 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division collected the munitions to be destroyed.
