Baghdad

Baghdad province includes the city of Baghdad, the Iraqi capital, and the surrounding area, including al-Mahmudiyah and Abu Ghraib. It has an area of 456 square miles, the smallest of the 18 provinces of Iraq. In 2003, the estimated population of the province was 6.4 million people.
Baghdad province is considered one of the more developed parts of Iraq, with a better infrastructure than much of the rest of the country.
