BAGHDAD – The Emergency Response Brigade, along with U.S. force advisors, arrested a suspected terrorist during an intelligence-driven mission in Baghdad Aug. 3.

The elite police force was operating under the authority of a warrant issued by the Criminal Investigative Court of Karkh. Court documents indicate the constables arrested the suspected insurgent in accordance with the Republic of Iraq’s terrorism law.

The arrested individual is suspected of being in charge of intelligence and targeting for a terrorist group, which is believed to be responsible for multiple improvised explosive device and indirect fire attacks against Iraqi Security Forces.
