ISF arrest 2 in search of AQI explosives expert in Baghdad

BAGHDAD – Iraqi Security Forces arrested two individuals today during a joint security operation conducted near Baghdad to find and arrest an alleged al-Qaeda in Iraq (AQI) explosives expert.

In Abu Ghraib, located west of Baghdad, ISF and U.S. advisors searched a residential building for the AQI suspect believed to be building VBIEDs and planning deadly attacks in Baghdad and Al Anbar Province. The security team did not locate him.

Based on preliminary questioning and evidence discovered on the premises, ISF arrested two individuals suspected of criminal activity.
