BAGHDAD – Iraqi Security Forces arrested a Promised Day Brigade (PDB) leader and one criminal associate during a joint security operation conducted in Rashidiyah today.

ISF and U.S. advisors searched a building for the suspected PDB operational leader who allegedly supplies and transports weapons within the Diyala Province region.

The information and evidence gathered at the scene led Iraqi forces to identify and arrest the warranted individual and a criminal associate.

All joint operations are pursuant to a warrant issued by an Iraqi judge.

Iraqi and U.S. advisors conduct joint operations in accordance with the Security Agreement and in coordination with the Iraqi government to target terrorists seeking to disrupt the security and stability of Iraq.
