Khadra NAC Distributes Humanitarian Aid
Multi-National Division – Baghdad PAO
BAGHDAD — The Khadra Neighborhood Advisory Council for the Jamia and Khadra neighborhoods distributed humanitarian assistance packages at their council hall Sept. 9.
An Iraqi Reconstruction and Development team provided 250 humanitarian aid packages to the Khadra NAC for the operation. The members of the NAC canvassed their neighborhoods and provided the neediest families in the western Baghdad neighborhoods a special NAC ration card, which residents used to pick up their supplies at the council hall.
The operation was entirely resourced and executed by the Khadra NAC. Soldiers from Company B, 1st Battalion, 64th Armor Regiment provided limited security for the operation, at the request of the Khadra NAC chairman.
