Suspected ISI cell leader arrested by ISF

TIKRIT, Iraq – Iraqi Security Forces, with U.S. advisors, arrested a suspected Islamic State of Iraq cell leader in Sharqat, Salah ad-Din province, Feb.7.

An Iraqi court issued an arrest warrant for the suspect, who is accused of facilitating the movement and transportation of magnetically-attached improvised explosive devices used in attacks on ISF personnel throughout Iraq.

ISF believes the cell transports MAIEDs from Mosul, Ninawa province to Sharqat, Salah ad-Din province for distribution to various ISI terrorist cells in Iraq.
